It's the day I enjoy most, vintage thingy Thursday. A day when so many of us- vintage fanatics or no- break out the vintage and share. Last weekend I went thrifting at some new surprise spots (a store tucked inside a warehouse for one). I haven't been able to take as many photographs as I would like this week, but here are a few. And since I never remember to take pictures as I thrift or shop vintage, I drew what I wore for you~ okay, I didn't show you how truly bad my hair looked- but I did wear a beret to cover the fact that I didn't care. I love my wellies, and a cardigan is great- I layer, layer, layer while shopping.
So when you break a sweat digging through mounds of * insert noun*
(shoes, clothes, purses, hat boxes, toys, hand mirrors, books)
you can remove a layer to cool off.
And boots are great, so when you drop the *noun* on your toe you are fairly safe. Unless you break the *noun*, then you have to purchase it. What *nouns* did you over purchase recently?
Thanks for coming by! Stop by and visit the other vintage lovers, won't ya?
See the cute little crochet clothes hangers? Only a quarter! I can't wait to give the little girls' skirts to my niece, Maddie. And the vintage cape will have to go in my etsy shop soon, it's unfortunately too long for me. But the lavender dress with beading may be mine for keeps. If I can get it hemmed and find a spot in the closet.
Giveaway alert: if you have not entered the drawing for a gorgeous vintage creation from J. Nichelle, you are remiss. Her Christmas creations are fantastic, stunning... and hopefully mine. But again, I do love you so I am sharing the news.

Amazing vintage pieces! xx
Oh Lemondrop, I so love the purchases you have made. What fun you must have going through rack after rack of clothing. Pulling them out, checking them over, sizing them up, deciding if the color is right, size is right, oh I imagine I can even see you spinning around a little in that cape and trying it out.
The skirts will be precious for your little niece. She will squeal as they are darling.
Thanks for sharing today sweetie. I so love to come and see what you have for the day.
Please stop by today. I have written a little something that I think you might like. Memories for sure.
Country hugs sweetie, Sherry
That cap is too amazing words! I've always adored caps (of all lengths), but have been yearning for one more than ever before this season. I'd love to chance upon such a treasure on my thrifting travels, too! :)
Thank you dearly for your fantastic comments, sweet heart, I hope that you're having an amazing week!

What beautiful finds. My favorite is the blue cape...is it going in the shop?
I love crochet hangers. I always buy them when I see them....you got a great deal. Love the cape!!!
Thanks for the dressing tips! I should follow them more...it seems I,m always dying of heat when I thrift (probably all the excitement!)
Most of my *nouns* are postcards. A few are old recipe leaflets.
J'adore all things vintage. Your finds are absolutely gorgeous - I'm completely smitten with that cape! :)
Oh, what fabulous finds! I just love the blue cape - it looks like it's meant to be worn walking the moors in Scotland or somewhere...
Love these vintage pieces. Great post as usual Marie! Kori xoxo

I particularly love the cape, what a wonderful color!
Oh no! Can't you have that cape altered? Such a lovely shade of blue, it's a shame not to keep it! But I guess that lavender beauty could possibly make up for it!
Happy VTT!
Carol

Awesome finds! That cape is amazing. Loooove it!
That dress is beautiful. The detail on it. Wow!
I love your drawing. And I used to wear skirts like those. And girls weren't allowed to wear pants to school so we wore pants under the skirts in the winter.

Marie, would you ever consider posting tips for how you are able to successfully find so many great thrifty items?
