Pink Saturday snuggly sweater

Ahhh, Saturdays. Perfect for reading, journaling, sitting in fall sunshine if you can get it... and the color pink. I found this lovely pink vintage sweater at a church rummage sale~ so vintage comfy! Hope there's a spot of pink in your Saturday, if you need some Beverly always has the best pink around on her lovely blog.

Happy Vintage Black Friday, friends! I remember once reading an interview with Cybil Shepherd who discussed her Moonlighting days with Bruce Willis. They always shot her closeups with a filtered lens, vintage style, so she glowed and sparkled-- while Bruce's shots were filmed in the usual way.

My camera was apparently in the same mind for pictures we shot of this lovely vintage black dress. It's 80's too- just like Moonlighting.

I hope your weekend is lovely. I am hoping to get Mr. L to take me to see a certain shirtless werewolf pack. Think he'll notice that takes up most of my attention during the movie? Shhhh!

VTT Beads and sequins and beads, oh my

This is a 1980's dressy top, most likely worn with a black satin skirt from which it has long parted company. It was in exceptional condition, so I bought it with a thought to wear it if I ever felt a need to costume myself a la flapperish. Of course, I don't have as many occasions to dress like I am going to a speakeasy as I would like...and wore something else for Halloween. Tried it on for VTT anyway!

Lemondrop poll- is it dapper flapper or just Lemondrop over bedazzled? I'll have to check with expert flapper blogger the Frivolous Flapper too, to see if I get at least passing marks.

For this coat love Tuesday Mr. L and I took a walk near a historic building to capture some of the gorgeous trees and grounds. I love ancient trees- I am such a Tolkien fanatic I suppose I am waiting for them to wake up and speak to me.

This vintage coat is late 60's early 70's with fun buttons and faux shearling. I bought it on ebay a few years ago for around $20.00 with shipping. It is so much fun on a dreary day, and shines in the sun on a happy, sunny day!

Boyfriend times two?

I know that it's not my best look- and I guess I just have missed the outbursts Stacy and Clinton must be having at every boyfriend trend....but I love boyfriend jeans. They are just so darn weekend comfy. So every weekend without fail I reach for a pair- but wearing them with a boyfriend blazer is just a bit too much loose construction on my very height challenged frame. For this day I just said too slouchy and big be damned- I am wearing this comfy ensemble and I don't care who likes it. This vintage velveteen blazer is so soft and fall snuggly.

And I don't think Stacy and Clinton would fault most of my choices --
